Introducing our 2020 Arts Program, designed for Artists interested in mounting their own shows!
WCAC was founded by Dr. James L. Chappuis, MD, FACS, who has long been a proponent of the cultural development of Atlanta’s West Midtown, as well as an avid art collector and leader in the art world. WCAC’s goal is to challenge the way viewers observe and interact with Atlanta’s art scene by stimulating social awareness through avant-garde exhibitions, performances and events. In addition to housing a gallery-in-residence, WCAC creates a living gallery that supports a rotating collection of local, regional and internationally recognized artists and serves as a crisp and modern event venue.

“Art doesn’t complete us – it makes us realize what we long for. Art shows us what came before and is a prelude to what is yet to come. A brilliant piece of art will bring the storm out of you. You may even discover a new mood or an underlying emotion each time you look at it. Isn’t that what makes the intensity of this colorful chaos so beautiful? Art is infinite. Art is liberation – freedom of the brush’s next move. Art is everything between blank canvas and the finishing stroke, yet far beyond what the eye alone can ever behold.” Dr. Dinesh Sharma

Aaron Whitehouse “FLOW” Art Opening Friday, March 9 / 7-10pm. On Exhibition through Friday March 30, 2018.

Joseph Guay explores the two sides and battles of our sociological and political climate with his new body of work titled “DUEL // DUAL”… Elements of the exhibition include photographs and sculptures diving into the production and disarmament of weapons; paintings made from motor oil, shattered high-rise glass and gunpowder dealing with terrorism and the alternative reasons for war; sculptures created from live round ammunition and handguns revealing the hidden truths of consumer protection and fear.
Join us Saturday, October 7th from 7 to 10pm as Atlanta’s Westside Cultural Arts Center (WCAC), returns with their popular and thought-provoking Art Opening Series, for the opening of Joseph Guay – “Duel // Dual”
